Calling ALL band members! Emphasis on ALL! You are invited to come and experience the FBISD Band Student Leadership Camp on Monday, July 25th. This is a great opportunity for all band members, especially if you think being on the leadership team is in your future! Obviously we expect our current leadership team to be up front and center at this event, however we would love to see everyone come and bond as a band.
This is a Free Event where we practice good leadership skills and get to interact and perform with the Santa Clara Vanguard at the end of the day. Please come and represent the Clements Marching Band 2016!
Hightower HS auditorium @ 8AM (aka 7:45) until 9pm
Bring your marching instrument
Bring a water jug
Wear a Clements Band Shirt
Bring a pencil!
All meals are paid for by the district

12pm – 1pm Lunch Provided
1pm – 3:30pm SASI Training
4pm – 6pm Rehearse with Santa Clara Vanguard
6pm – 7pm Dinner Provided
7pm – 8:30pm Observe Santa Clara Vanguard Rehearsal
For those students who are in leadership positions, we have two important dates coming up:
Monday, July 25th Leadership Camp with Santa Clara Vanguard -All Day.
Thursday, July 28th Leadership Work Day – All Day.
Marching Band Camp Starts for ALL Band and Guard:
Monday, August 1st 8am-12pm and 3:30pm – 7:30pm. Students don’t forget to stay in shape this summer, drink plenty of fluids and practice your music so you are ready the first day of camp! Check your packets for further details on camp times and dates!
All Symphonic and Concert 1 band members who are not graduating must perform in the graduation band. Concert 2 volunteers are welcome too. We are meeting at the band hall on Saturday, June 4 at 1:00. The ceremony starts at 3:30 at the Toyota Center and we should be back around 6:00.
Summer marching band rehearsals begin on Aug. 1 at 8am. Have a great summer!
Please join us for the final concert of the 2015-2016 school year at HBU on Tuesday, May 24 at 7pm. This is a special evening that will feature all 3 bands performing both traditional and popular music. All parents are urged to attend and students may leave with their parents after all 3 bands have performed. The order of performance is Symphonic Band (Mr. Galloway), Concert 1 Band (Mr. Johnson), and Concert 2 Band (Ms. Collins). Hope to see you there!
