Our first Band and Guard Booster Club meeting will be Tuesday, September 8th, at 7:00 PM in the band hall. All parents are encouraged to attend and to be actively involved in the operations of the Booster Club. We will post an agenda on the Booster page of the website approximately two weeks prior to the meeting. Minutes of previous meetings are also on the Booster page. The Executive Committee met on Friday, July 31st, in order to discuss the many needs for events, volunteers, and support of the band and guard program. Minutes from that meeting are posted on the Booster page.
All students received a UIL Acknowledgement Form on Monday that must be signed by a parent and returned by the end of the week. Also, any student who plays a school-owned instrument at any point in the year must pay the FBISD Instrument Use Fee of $80. A letter was distributed to applicable students from Mr. Drew, our Director of Fine Arts. This must be paid within the next two weeks. Thank you so much for your cooperation on these district-mandated items!
Ranger spirit was felt throughout the week of rehearsals. 2015 will be a memorable one!
We will distribute the items that students purchased at registration this week according to the schedule below. Items will be distributed after rehearsal is over at 5:15.
- Monday, August 24 – Marching Shoes
- Thursday, August 27 – Remaining Supplies (t-shirts, blacks, garment bags, gloves, etc.)
UPDATED – Join your friends and family at the following locations throughout August. A certain percentage of the proceeds of each Spirit Day/Night will go back to the band and guard. Be sure to mention that you’re with the Clements Band and Guard. Additional locations that we’ll be using once final details are worked out include Chuy’s and Torchy’s Tacos.
