Please join us in welcoming Ms. Kate Thane to our staff as assistant band director of the Clements Ranger Band!
Ms. Thane was born and raised in Round Rock, Texas where she graduated from McNeil High School. She joins us as a graduate of Texas State University where she was fortunate to study music and education under the direction of Caroline Beaty, Kyle Glaser, John Denis, and Kurt Moede.
Ms. Thane is very active as a visual and music technician in central Texas where she has taught at Dripping Springs, McNeil, Canyon, and Westlake High School. In addition, she is in demand as a private lesson teacher for mellophone, trumpet, and as a visual instructor.
From 2017-2019 Ms. Thane marched with the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps for three consecutive seasons. During her time with the Bluecoats she was a lead mellophone, lead trumpet and served as trumpet section leader her age out season.
Ms. Thane is the 2020 recipient of the Collegiate Texas Music Educators Award and is recognized as one of the finest future music educators in the state.
Congrats and welcome Ms. Thane! We look forward to having you on our team!

Due to the district closure, the New Orleans trip has been cancelled. We are working with the travel agent to evaluate our options. There are numerous other groups around the state that also cancelled their trips, so it will take some time to work out a solution with each vendor. We will let you know as soon as we have more information. Thank you for your patience!
